Q1 Goals Update | Where I’m Winning and Where I’m Adjusting

As Q1 comes to a close, I’m reflecting on what I have accomplished so far. I want to intentionally call it out because I tend to overlook milestone achievements, especially when it’s for a goal that’s “still in progress” rather than fully “completed”. This year, progress is an achievement. I will be celebrating the strides I’m taking toward my goals. To do this, I created a reward system with the help of my good friend. It’s a system to help stop me in my tracks, reflect, and celebrate the wins!

I chose to focus on my top 3 goals, and down below you can see the rewards I paired with them.

MY [TOP 3] GOALSMY REWARDS
Fitness: Work out consistently 3x a week per quarter Fitness: Get a massage for each quarter I worked out consistently
Content: YouTube consistently posts 8 videos per quarter Content: MUA 1on1, Tripod & Soft Box, Branding Session Photoshoot, Sony ZV-E10 Camera
Business: Start a new stream of income that generates $500 a quarter Business: Take 10% ($50) and purchase something for yourself [perfume, clothes, shoes]

I’m proud to say that I reached my fitness and content goals! The new tripod has arrived, and somebody call the masseuse and tell them I am on thee way! 😎

As for the goal I didn’t meet, I am not beating myself up. I am simply readjusting it to make it more manageable. Breaking the goal into smaller parts will give me a better chance of achieving it. My newly revised business goal is to develop and launch one new product by the end of the next quarter.

It’s all about designing a system that sets you up for success. I share this with you, 1. For extra accountability and 2. So you know you’re not alone if you’re one of the people who are always working toward goals, but not stopping to celebrate the wins along the way.

I needed the reminder. I needed the system. I deserve a reward. I deserve to be celebrated often. We are not waiting to receive acclimations from the outside; we are doing it for ourselves. So in the midst of feeling like we’re not doing enough, let’s remember that progress is a celebratory achievement.

Do you use a personal rewards system to stay motivated, or is that something you’d consider trying? Why or why not?
