I’m moving! I am so excited to pivot and share this new season of my life with you. I wanted to try and get all the pending writing I had out instead of hoarding them in my notes but! I just can’t hold it in any longer.
As you all may know, After college I returned home to South Florida. While there to help my family, I got stuck working in a toxic environment where I was constantly fighting for recognition via promotion, raise, and respect. To no avail, those things never came, which led to me feeling like a failure almost every day.
After a lot of encouragement, I started focusing on the areas of my life that brought me enjoyment. This change in perspective led to me consistently producing content, promoting my work publicly, and deciding to create opportunities for myself with the tools I did have. Soon after, I started to feel a shift take place. I couldn’t put my finger on what it could be. I just thought I reached an internal breakthrough.
Simultaneously, I was trying to get out of that job by applying to hundreds (not exaggerating here) hundreds of positions. What kept me going was the dream I had of being able to fund my passions and live comfortably on my own. One company pushed me forward in the interview process. Honestly, by the seventh interview (yes, you heard that right), the seventh interview! I was over it.
Weeks passed by, and I just knew I didn’t get the position. However, God came through for me and allowed that door to open. After all, 7 is the number of completion. This position exceeded all expectations I had for a new job, or shall I say a career. I more than doubled my salary and the B E N E F I T S!!! Hallelujah-GLORAYYYY!!!! Not to mention it required traveling (y’all know I love a chance to catch a flight and explore). The catch? I needed to be in Atlanta.
So I packed up my stuff and headed over permanently. I’ve been here for about four months now and was just able to secure my first apartment. If you know anything about this crazy time, it’s how tough securing reasonably priced housing is, whether you’re looking to rent or buy. I’ll be moving in on October 7. It’s the first time I’ll be living on my own as an adult, so I’m both nervous and excited.
I’m living in an answered prayer. I have to remind myself how grateful I am even through the stress of moving. I just wanted to share some good news with you all and reaffirm that things can turn around. In the blink of an eye, your tomorrow can look completely different than your today. Continue to plant your seeds, and when you least expect it, one or maybe even a few will bloom for you!
Love always,
Blessings! Love this! Congratulations on your new journey! ❤️❤️
